Citizen Kofi Sparkles

CITIZEN KOFI entertainment center in Osu, Accra, last Saturday became a hub of sheer excitement when it came alive with a pre Val’s Day bash to blaze the trail for this year’s season of love in Ghana.

There was love in the air as lots of lovers thronged the Hollywood lounge of the luxurious outfit to be part of the occasion.

They expressed nothing but love for their partners and loved ones in special ways while they had more to party with than just drinks and food.

There was more than enough music to have fun with. Musician Kwabena Kwabena set patrons agog with his silky-smooth voice as he thrilled them with his tunes.

Kwabena was also in the mood for love as he used the occasion to openly express his feelings for his new found lover, Abena Owusuwaa.

“I love you and I wish I can tell you how I feel but I can’t say more because of where I am now”, he told her, causing the audience to cheer him on.

The night was not only replete with fun; it was definitely a memorable one. It was an intriguing experience to see MC for the night, Ekuba Quarmine of GTV, wow the audience with a rendition of Kojo Antwi’s ‘Medofo Pa’, a song which left them wanting more.

The audience’s enthusiasm was heightened when KOD, King David and one member of the Wutah duo joined Kwabena Kwabena on stage to climax the marathon performances which went on for close to two hours.

The pre Valentine’s Day event is part of Citizen Kofi’s efforts to provide total entertain for its patrons every Saturday. This coming Saturday, contemporary highlife singer Kwaisey P will take his turn.

He is expected to pick up where Kwabena Kwabena left off till the wee hours of Sunday morning. Reks Brobbey, Events Manager at Citizen Kofi, stressed that this Saturday will be another night to look forward to.
