Citi FM in partnership with Soul Train Productions is set to thrill its fans and listeners with an exciting stage play on 5th May at the National Theatre.

The play titled TAKE IT OR TAKE IT forms part of the station’s activities to mark its Family Month, scheduled for May annually. The play is in line with the station’s aim to celebrate, prioritize and highlight the importance of family in society.

Take it or Take it is a one-act romantic comedy centred on the post-wedding life of a couple who find themselves on the wrong side of happenstance. Kevin and Fatimah Long throat, the latest products of matchmaking gone wrong are at their wits end as their expectations for an ideal partner were not met on the wedding day.

Divorce seems like the easiest way out, but the couple would rather stay in a bitter marriage and suffer for it rather than to let go. In an intense battle for superiority, the very foundations of their love, faith and sanity would be tested, with the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel an absolute cul-de-sac.

The play tackles pertinent issues in Ghanaian marriages and is interlaced with music and humour as is characteristic of Soul Train Productions’ past plays. It also throws more light on the challenges of fresh couples or marriages face.
Authored by Nene Asiedu, the play is scheduled to be staged at 4 pm and 8 pm on 5th May. Tickets are for sale for GHS60 cedis (single) and GHS 100 Cedis (couple). Tickets can be purchased at the front desk of Citi FM, The National Theatre, Sweet Melodies FM and at all First National Bank branches.
