Cine Plus is born

A new privatised digital television station positioned to become the nation’s foremost entertainment, events, tourism and documentary network is born.

The Accra-based station serves an urban audience with a reach across most sub-Saharan African countries via satellites and a worldwide reach via its internet platform.

It seeks to set a positive standard by presenting good pictures and sound quality as well as display unique and refined content to satisfy viewers by arousing creativity.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cine Plus, Alhaji Mustapha Oti-Boateng, in an interview said, “Our primary focus is to promote tourism in Ghana and the African continent. We have in mind to cover events like festivals and other key social, entertainment gatherings.”

Alhaji Oti-Boateng, who is also the founder of Chocho Industries Limited and the winner of the prestigious Best Entrepreneur 2013 Award added, “Our activities will be different from other regular channels because viewers will be treated to variety of spiced up African content that will give them a good understanding and feel of Ghana and African cultural traditional setting.”

Cine Plus, currently on test transmission is transmitted on Channel 7 on the Multi TV digibox and it targets the youth and adults.
