Chris Attoh, Norkus to host 2013 Bass Awards

Organisers of the maiden edition of the Bass Awards have announced Chris Attoh and Nana Kwame Osei Sarpong (Norkus) as hosts of the main ceremony.

“Nokus in particular co-founded and promoted the ever popular Wednesday Reggae/Dancehall nites at Tawala for a longer time and that even makes him a very suitable co-host of this event,” the organisers say.

It has also been confirmed to Viasat1NewsOnline that Bandana 'Shatta Wale' is set to perform at the 2013 Bass Awards, following some misunderstanding between him and the organisers.

Shatta Wale declined to be part of the awards, coming on the heels of an earlier hard hitting of the VGMA Dancehall Artiste of the Year winner, Kaakie.

The Bass Awards comes off at the National Theatre on Saturday July 6. It will be preceded by a nominees jam at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday July 5.
