Choirmaster calls 'New Praye' group noise makers

Choirmaster Choirmaster

Choirmaster, a member of the ‘old’ Praye isn’t excited about the reunion of his former colleagues Cartel Big J and Kente as the ‘new’ Praye.

Minutes after news went viral that his former musical comrades had reunited on Monday, he (Choirmaster) took to his Instagram page to rubbish the group writing:

The noise of the sea will never disturb the fishes from sleeping. Therefore don’t let anything disturb you, stay focus and determine to be on track on whatever you are pursuing in life, turn a deaf ear to every noise that will distract your attention. God will Change your Story".

Below is the press release by the new ‘Praye.

The management of Broomx Entertainment, wishes to officially announce a new era in Ghanaian Music.

An era that was preceded with hit songs, awards and heart-stopping performances, fuelled by the fans, their passion and love.

That era was however ended, when the three members of Praye, chose to go on their individual path, to find renewed inspiration.

After many calls by music industry players, artistes and the fans, Praye is back. With a dedication to the fans and a determination to lift Ghana’s flag high again.

We seek to mention that both members of the group (Cartel big J and Kente) , wish their ex-member, Choirmaster (Praye honeho) good luck, as he is unable to pay heed to calls for a reunion at this point, but would join in due course.

We seek to thank the fans for their patience over the years and appreciate their continuous support.

We are Back like we never left.

Praye won the first edition of the Nescafe African Revelation at the National level and represented Ghana at the West and Central African competition in 2005.

The group got mainstream appreciation in the Ghanaian Music Industry via their song Shoddy, off their debut album. They won a number of prestigious awards including the KORA Awards and Ghana Music Awards.

Members of the group went their separate ways some four years ago.
