Castro And Kofi 'B' Storm Adom FM's Nhyira Nsuo Show

A number of crowd-pulling local Ghanaian hip-life artistes last Sunday stormed the Harbour City of Tema to provide entertainment for thousands of needy children drawn from all parts of the Municipality.

Prominent among the artistes who descended on the forecourt of the Tema Municipal Assembly (TMA) to put some smiles on the faces of the needy children were Castro ? the man his peers call ?Dangerous?, Kofi ?B?, as well as all the topmost DJs of the Tema based private radio station including Abeiku Aggrey Santana.

Other artistes including Batman, Obrafour and Kwaw Kese were also scheduled to perform at the programme, but as at the time the paper arrived at the venue, only Kofi ?B? and Castro were actually present.

Majority of the over 10,000 needy children who turned up to enjoy themselves were from Ashaiman, Sites 1, 2 and 20 all in Community 1 in Tema.

Speaking in an interview with the paper, the Marketing Manager of Adom FM, Mr. Eric Amihere said the programme is part of the station?s social responsibility towards the country. He said they decided to organize the programme which was sponsored by their corporate clients to enable them put some smiles on the faces of the less privileged children in society.

According to him, they chose the less privileged children because most of them find it very difficult to have a good meal like what was provided for them and thought that it was only appropriate for the station to take advantage of the occasion to give them something they might not have had in a long time.

He said they are having negotiations with some of their sponsors to consider the possibility of sponsoring or giving scholarships to some brilliant but needy children among those the station feted, perhaps effective next year.

Perhaps due to the delicious nature of the food which was prepared by caterers from the SOS Children?s Home at Tema Community 10, most of the children after eating what was given to them, went back one more time or even twice, thus giving the organizers a hectic time.
