Gone are the days when our Ghanaians musicians don’t pay any attention to releasing visuals to their songs.

To them, they won’t gain anything from wasting their precious time and money to shoot videos. Majority of them are just unaware of the benefits of having music videos but for sometime now, that negative perception about releasing videos is changing as the days go by.

Let me walk you through some benefits of shooting videos. Releasing visuals to your song gives you much exposure. Releasing visuals to your song leaves a lasting memory in the minds of your numerous fans; once they hear the song, it sends their mind straight to the video. Releasing videos even warm your way into the hearts of music lovers faster in case you are not aware.

Nowadays corporate brands have started paying musicians to just include their products in their videos and they are been paid big time because of that, and that’s why foreign acts just don’t joke with videos at all.

They make sure once the audio is ready, the video is also ready. One of the many reasons Nigerian musicians have dominated the African music scene is because of music videos.

They just don’t joke with shooting videos at all because they know the benefits of releasing videos but here in Ghana, it’s the vice-versa.

Have you watched visuals to Edem’s smash hit song, Nyedzilo? That was a great video right there. Talk of concept, lightening, location, picture quality, the choreography….oo my words, I just can’t even describe that video with a word.

No wonder some few minutes after the video was released officially, lots of industry personalities can’t stop just showering praises on Edem and the director, Gyo Gyimah of Phamous Philms. Big ups Gyo, that’s the way to go. You’ve just raised the bar high when it comes to directing.

It’s very difficult for your fellow musician to congratulate you, but the likes of Sarkodie, Episode, Coded of 4x4 among others couldn’t just help it, but to wallow in amazement after they’ve watched the video.

We can now officially declare that the best video in 2016 is Edem’s ‘Nyedzilo’ video, no two ways, no qualms at all, so to our dear musicians, It’s either you will release music video to outshine Edem’s Nyedzilo video or not releasing visuals to your song at all this year.
