Budding singer - Nelsyn takes giant stride

Nelsyn is one of Ghana’s freshest and quickly evolving musical sensations.

He is a budding young talent gifted with a soft but silky smooth voice that could easily calm your nerves and whisk you away into a whole new dimension of musical experience.

His music style can be described as a fusion of a “little bit of western and a little bit of African” toeing the lanes of Afro-soul and Afro-pop.

Nelsyn often explores unique ways of bringing fun to the table and blowing the minds of music lovers with his renditions and expression of his music.

Beginning at a tender age, Nelsyn started singing back in primary school, in class four, when he was encouraged to join the school and church choir by a class teacher who also doubled as a music teacher.

However, he started taking his singing ability seriously in 2006 after he auditioned for the maiden edition of Stars of the Future.

Although he was not chosen then, he realized the depth of talent other people had and was so challenged to develop his vocal talent further leading him on to a journey of musical adventure that is still on- going till date. He eventually made it into the Stars of the Future competition in 2009.

He participated in season two of Vodafone Icons (mixed edition). He was a member of the group RUFF ROAD.

In line with preparation to release his latest single “SUNSHINE” for 2013, Nelsyn was the opening act for KSM’s Secret of GH Girls Reloaded show at the national theatre on the 14th of February 2013.

“SUNSHINE” is set to be released officially in March 2013.
