'Big' female artistes refused to feature on Ebony's project

A video recording of dead Dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns has surfaced on the internet.

In the video, the artiste is seen talking about how some female artistes refused to feature in an all-girl project she wanted to undertake.

She indicated that when she contacted her colleagues, they were truthful to her about the fact that they will not feature on the song.

"I like the fact that they were real about not featuring on the song. They said it will be like Ebony came and she did this and she did that."

Meanwhile, the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has released an all-female tribute in memory of late singer Ebony.

The all-female tribute features some of Ghana’s talented female musicians.

The song, ‘Nana Hemaa’ features Adina, MzVee, Efya, Freda Rhymz, eShun, Feli Nuna and Adomaa.

Produced by Richie Mensah of Lynx Entertainment, the song is in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).

Ebony, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, was killed in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway after visiting her mother on February 8.

Her childhood friend and assistant, Franky Kuri, and their bodyguard also did not survive the crash.

She will be buried on March 17.
