Bawumia should select Samira if he is considering a female as running mate - Okyeame Kwame

Ghanaian musician, Okyeame Kwame, has expressed his thoughts on the running mate choice for the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the general elections.

According to him, the vice president's wife, Samira Bawumia, would be a good fit for the running mate position due to the experience she has garnered in the political system.

He also noted that Samira's rich educational background, coupled with her exploits in the political system, will form a good partnership with her husband to win the 2024 general elections for the ruling party.

Speaking in an interview with Angel FM and monitored by GhanaWeb, the host of the show, Ohemaa Woyeje, asked, "Would you like Dr. Bawumia to present a female as running mate?"

Responding, Okyeame Kwame said "Then he should bring his wife, Samira Bawumia; she is so intelligent, like fire. Do you hear the way she speaks English? She is a wise person, and she is learned too. I cannot tell if she is on the list of people being considered for the running mate."

Meanwhile, pressure continues to mount on Dr. Bawumia to name his running mate as the general elections approach.

Ghana goes to the polls on December 7, 2024, to elect a president and Members of Parliament.

While Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia takes the helm of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the task ahead, John Dramani Mahama leads the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in their quest to also wrestle power from the NPP.
