Bandex and Kojo Preko calls for enquiries to investigate GHAMRO

Movie producer and vice chairman for GAPI, Mr. Ahmed Banda who is well known in the industry as Bandex together with host of Adom FM’s Entertainment Bill Board, Kojo Preko Danquah, are pleading with authorities to come to musicians aid in setting up a commission of enquiries to investigate the works of the dissolved board of GHAMRO who’s case is currently pending in court.

Speaking to the two industrial players in separate interviews with Dopecelebs after passing similar comments on Sokoo Hemaa’s Anigyekrom show on ATV, they claimed there have been a lot of activities that needs to be investigated for the well-being and future of GHAMRO. Many activities that have led to the penniless lives of most musicians in the country.

‘I think there is the need to set up a commission of enquiries. So many things have happened after the court order which is not healthy for the future. Checks been cashed by the signatories to GHAMRO’s account. Carlos and his two deputies had paid money to a company called Motion Pix without approval from the board. I am pleading to authorities to come to our aid. Right owners are asking the where about of their money (royalties). The only way to find out is to set up this commission so people who were put in charge of affairs can make accounts to us. We must find out why things happened the way it did’ Bandex stated.

Kojo Preko also added his voice saying, ‘There should be a commission to look into the circumstances that has led to the misappropriation of musicians royalties.

During the era of Sidiku Buari it was alleged that money was misused of which no accounts was made to anyone. It won’t be fair this time around if an interim board of which I even had a challenge with those two years they gave themselves should also come with the same issue of alleged misappropriation of funds.

People should be jailed if found wanting. The commission should be given the power to prosecute’ he said.

According to them, they are happy things are being done for a elections to take place but there should be a commission to investigate the board.
