Azonto is going through a re–branding stage – Gasmilla

Hiplife artiste Gasmilla who was able to penetrate with Azonto dance and music, has revealed to the media that he is one of the versatile musicians in Ghana who can do all kinds of music, from dance hall, reggae to hip-hop but he feels that Azonto is just a kind of bridge he needed to cross.

When we asked him if he could have survived the industry without Azonto dance and music, he stated that he could have still made a hit because his song ‘Aboodatoi’ was just a free style song but happy if music fans can wait patiently for his full album before they make any judgment.

Commenting on the current state of Azonto music, he said that he is aware many people are saying Azonto is dead but to him the only thing he can say about that debate is that Azonto is going through a re–branding stage.

Talking about the European tour with Keche, Funny Face which was sponsored by Akwaaba UK, he said that, the tour was really a successful one with them being on BBC radio 1xtra to chat with Tim Westwood on the Ghanaian dance craze, Azonto and entertaining their fans.

He also lamented that with few things he studied in UK, he has realized that Ghana music industry need more investors in the music industry, because back in United Kingdom there are lot of investors who are investing into their industry, which builds the confidence of the musician to come out with their best.

Music lovers should watch out for Gasmilla upcoming album which is set to be released very soon.
