Awards can never change me – Joe Mettle

With some few hours to the 2018 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, reigning Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle has stated that winning an award can never change his attitude to the way he organizes himself and do things.

Many people have the perception that awards mostly have an effect on the way an artiste or a personality does his things and organize his day to day activity, being it personally or career-wise.

But speaking on the Celebrity Ride with Zionfelix show, Joseph Oscar Mettle told the host, Zionfelix that he is not moved to alter his ways of doing things because he’s won an award. The ‘Onwanwani’ hitmaker rather said it forces him to do what he is doing better. He further stated that he believes awards only helps to boost the brand of an artiste but not to contribute to change in attitudes of the artiste’s personality of business dealings.

Joe Mettle has once again been nominated in the Artiste of the Year category plus some others including Gospel Artiste of the Year, Gospel song of the year in the upcoming VGMAs.
