The multiple award-winning gospel musician, Cwesi Oteng has said late President Atta Mills would have loved to hand over power to Nana Akufo Addo at the end of the 2012 election, if he were to be alive.

According to him, Nana Akufo Addo is the best President that Ghana has not had, urging Ghanaians to vote massively for the three-time Presidential candidate to bring Ghana onto the right path of development.

The gospel musician on September 10, 2016 declared his support for Nana Akufo Addo via Twitter. He tweeted: “I would like to show my support for Nana Akufo Addo and to fully endorse him to be our next POGH. I believe Ghana needs a breath of fresh air.”

Qweci Oteng took his endorsement further by paying a courtesy call on Nana Akufo Addo at his Nima residence on Friday, where he pledged his unflinching support to NPP Flagbearer.

He said, Ghana’s history cannot be complete without the due recognition being given to Nana Akufo Addo for his immense contribution towards the democratic development of Ghana.

“He has a leadership character that will help Ghana in several ways, but this is politics and so everybody usually has something to say to confuse people but otherwise I believe your life is open for all to see your personal contribution to the country even without being the President. I said somewhere that if the history of Ghana is being written, it cannot be complete without you name being added. If anybody has been able…from being a private person to do that, then if that person is given the opportunity to lead, then what can’t the person do.”

Nana Akufo-Addo on his part expressed gratitude to Cweci Oteng for his support and also reposing trust in him.
