Asantehene celebrates 57th birthday on May 6

Kumasi, May 03, GNA - Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene would celebrate his 57th birthday on Sunday May 6 at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The day also coincides with the 'Akwasidae' celebration. A statement issued by Manhyia Palace and signed by Mr G.B. Osei-Antwi, Media Relations Manager announced this in Kumasi on Thursday.

The statement said members of the Diplomatic Corps would participate in the celebration and called on the public to come and witness it.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool and 19th Asantehene was enstooled on Monday, April 26 1999.
