Asamoah Gyan, Dede Ayew For Ghana Movie Awards

Baby Jet Asamoah Gyan, the Black Stars player who has become the new music icon in Ghana’s entertainment front, is expected to take music fans through a series of stage performances this December.

After featuring on Castro’s ‘African Girls’ hit single, which is currently topping all music charts, Asamoah has not had any major stage experience yet.

NEWS-ONE has gathered that Asamoah will be making history as he will be performing alongside Castro at the first ever Ghana Movie Awards event which is scheduled for December 25, and this would be followed by other stage appearances.

The Ghana Movie Awards 2010’s final event has been dubbed ‘The Party of the Season.’ This is because about one-third of seats available on the night have been reserved for celebrities and stars in Ghana’s showbiz industry.

Also expected to be at the glamorous event are a number of Black Stars players, alongside the crème de la crème of Ghana’s entertainment industry.

NEWS-ONE has chanced on a video in which Black Stars players including Deda Ayew, John Pantsil, Lee Addy, Kodwo Asamoah, Jonathan Mensah and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu were asking fans to meet them at the event for exciting performances.

The maiden event is expected to give out 32 golden statuettes to deserving personalities in Ghana’s movie industry. The overall Best Actor and Best Actress would each drive home a new Zotye SUV donated by Feiya Engineering Ghana Ltd.

Nominations for the various categories would be announced at a Nominees Release Party which would be held soon as the earlier stipulated date, October 29, NEWS-ONE gathered, has been changed.
