All set for MOGO 2013

The 2013 edition of the annual Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO), organised by Citi 97.3 FM, has been fixed for Friday December 6, at the National Theater in Accra.

The annual event has become the biggest highlife concert on the Ghanaian entertainment calendar and organizers have confirmed all is set for the show’s rehearsals.

Artistes set to perform are Kwabena Kwabena, Awurama Badu, Kwaisey Pee, gospel duo-Tagoe Sisters, Samuel Owusu, Sherifa Gunu. The band supporting the occasion will be the ‘Ohia be ye ya’ band.

“This year would be different and of course better than the previous years because we have laced the performance list with both the known and somehow unknown faces.

There are a lot of very good highlife musicians out there who are not in the limelight and have been in the shadows waiting to be exposed.

So it is a fusion and that is new,” organisers told NEWS-ONE.
