Veteran Kumawood actress, Miriam Akyere Donkoh popularly known as Akyere Bruwaa in showbiz in an exclusive tell-all interview with Ghpagetv, has shared her experience in the industry as an actress and movie producer. In the interview, she also reveals how she almost caused the death of a passerby whilst filming on set.
According to Akyere Bruwaa, she began her acting career with the popular concert party performers in the 90s when a friend introduced her into the trade. She then graduated to the film industry in the early 2000s when the Kumawood film industry began developing. She has been acting ever since then.
When asked about her most challenging experience, Akyere Bruwaa revealed that her most challenging movie role was working on Ghetto Bread movie where she was made to ride a motorcycle.
She revealed that she doesn’t know how to ride a motorcycle and was very worried about the role. On her first attempt, she fell down and caused her severe body pains.
On another attempt, she almost killed a passerby with the motorcycle whilst trying to ride it. She revealed that it made her frustrated and almost gave up because everyone was angry that they couldn’t shoot that particular scene without mistakes.
Ghetto Bread Movie, premiers at the Sweduro-Ntiamoah hotel on the 14th of August, 2019. The movie features the likes of Vivian Jill, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, Mercy Asiedu, Kolege, Oteele and many more.
