Akrobeto, one of Kumawood’s most popular faces, has blamed former president John Mahama, for the challenges the movie industry is facing.
According to him, the erratic power supply during Mahama’s term of office resulted in several challenges for the industry.
He noted that because of challenges with power supply, people were unable to watch local movies they purchased, and this had a negative effect on Kumawood.
As a result, he added, Kumawood’s finances were negatively affected as it could produce as many movies as it used to.
He however added that the situation has changed in recent times, as power supply is currently stable.
