Akon drops new single ahead of Guinness Big Eruption concert

R&B sensation, Aliaune Damala Akon Thiam, known on stage as Akon, has released a new single ahead of his much-anticipated concert in Ghana later this month.

The award-winning artiste is headlining the Big Eruption concert - sponsored by Guinness - scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Akon will be leading an impressive pack of international and local artistes, including American hip hop star, Big Sean, Nigeria's Wizkid and Ghana's own dancehall kings Samini and Bandana (Shata Wale).

The Konvict Music founder burst on the international music scene in 2003 with hit songs, 'Locked up' and 'Lonely'. Ten years down the line, he has cemented himself a musical genius whose voice and singing prowess are unmatched.

The music video for his latest single 'So Cool' is another classic masterpiece. The storyline captures Akon as a superhero who will do all it takes for love.

The song and video is coming at time that Ghanaians are anxiously waiting for the music star's performance in the country.

Guinness had said in a statement that, "Through the Guinness Big Eruption Concert, Guinness will be bring the world class stage of entertainment to GH and also give Ghanaians a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the big entertainment shows they only see in other parts of the world right here on Ghanaian soil."
