Akatakyie, the hiplife duo, enjoyed themselves at the Frafraha Children?s Home last Saturday with the children when they made a donation to the home.

The group presented to the children four packs of canned Coca-Cola drinks, bales of second-hand clothes and some toffees.

The duo, known as King Pharaoh and Culture, promised the children that every show they would put up, the foster home would have a percentage of the proceeds.

When the party was in progress, the children requested that the group sing their favourite song, ?Odo Asisi Me?. The children could identify with that particular song, given their situation at the children?s home. Though most of them are young, they believe that in some respects their fathers have disappointed their mothers, compelling the latter to leave them at the children?s home.

The children looked happy and enthusiastically sang along with the duo. King Pharaoh and Culture advised the children to respect their caretakers as well as other elders, and also worship and pray to God for their needs since it is God who provides in abundance for the needy.

They told the children, ?Don?t feel lonely, thinking that you have no one to cater for you, give you shelter or clothing because we have you in our heart and in our vision as well. We shall make sure the little we have we?ll share with you?.

In a chat with ?The Mirror?, Akatakyie said, ?We have compassion for these kids because it was not easy and smooth for us during our childhood, but God has been on our side and we have come this far. If God blesses you, surely, it must trickle down to people like these who must depend on society to survive?.

Earlier, the hiplife duo launched their new album titled ?Ye de Aba? on the premises of Busy Internet in Accra.
