Airtel Ghana has announced the continuation of the hit life-renovating reality TV series, which started as ‘Zain Touching Lives’ a few years ago. The CIMG Telecoms Company of the year is embarking on another journey to change the lives of selected Ghanaians via the second edition of the groundbreaking series now called ‘Airtel Touching Lives’.
The 13-part TV show which aims to change the lives of people living in trying circumstances by giving them an opportunity to fulfil their lifelong dreams, is part of Airtel’s philanthropic endeavours and passionate commitment to contribute to the communities in which they operate. Targeting individuals and communities with a story to tell, ‘Airtel Touching Lives’ offers a platform to celebrate humanity whilst inspiring hope and enhancing people’s quality of life, as was evident in the first season of the series.
From November 1- 30, members of the public who want to participate can write in or email their requests for help in not more than one thousand words, as to why someone they know deserves a helping hand – this could be a community, a friend, family member or a colleague. The show aims at fostering a culture of giving as people selflessly nominate extraordinary individuals whom they feel ought to be given a gateway to a better life. Requests can be varied; from as simple as needing shoes for school to a significant provision such as sinking a borehole for a community. For show entries nomination letters should be sent to any Airtel shop or distributor nationwide. Entries can also be emailed to touchinglives@gh.airtel.com
“It’s a show about giving back – we want to assist Ghanaians across the country to recognise their full potential and to show people that this is possible,” explains Mr Philip Sowah, Managing Director of Airtel Ghana. “It is also about recognising the unsung heroes in our community and acknowledging the difference they have made to the lives of many. Everyone knows someone whose selfless act has touched the lives of others so we want to hear from them again.”http://www.ameyawdebrah.com/
