Organizers of the second edition of ‘Afro Nation Festival’, a four-day beach event aimed at promoting afro-beats on the continent to the rest of the world, have revealed that the aim is not to make money.

According to them, the event is driven by passion for the African music industry, and so has drawn volunteers who have the same drive.

Speaking on the Starr Drive with Cookie Tee and KOD, CEO of Afro Nation said “the people that are doing this thing with me, helping, are passionate about the music business, about the culture.”

He said “I’m an African ambassador. It’s not a money making thing. So we are not just putting anyone here, we are not looking to make crazy money from this. Regardless of whatever the price is, trust me it’s the best.”

Touching on what patrons should expect, he said “we want to make sure we give the people the right experience. It’s about quantity over quality. ”

Afro Nation will hold from December 26 to 30 at the Laboma Beach resort, la.

Artistes from Ghana and abroad billed to perform include Davido, Shatta Wale, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Medikal, Tiwa Savage, Kuami Eugene, Kidi and a host of others, with over 6,000 tickets already sold.
