Nigerian Artiste, Yemi Alade, has said African artistes are not united.

According to the ‘Johnny’ hit maker, African artistes appear united to the rest of the world but within they are far apart.

“I think the rest of world view us as a united front but within we are not,” Alade told host of Starr Chat Bola Ray on Wednesday.

“We are not as united as we seem to be, unfortunately, also because of the kind of business we are in as artistes. It’s beyond us, it’s an African thing, everyone is busy to keep in touch, today you are here, tomorrow you are out there. I also think language is also a barrier among other things for example this Jollof war – Ghana Jollof, Nigeria jollof”.

Yemi urged African artistes to respect each other’s differences.

“We should just respect each other’s differences, you like Ghana Jollof that’s what you grew up on, I like Nigerian Jollof it’s what I grew up on, let’s just appreciate each other and move on,” she stressed.
