Nkuli became the third housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Amplified during the Live Show on Sunday evening, following the disqualification of Lotus on Friday and Jossy’s eviction last Sunday. She showed absolutely no emotion after IK broke it to her that she had been evicted and commented that she would miss Michael the most. Nkuli also said she would miss Ernest, Nic and Alex the least, calling them two-faced.
IK had asked the other nominated housemates, Kim, Luclay and Mumba to leave the stage and Nkuli was the only one left seated on stage. She wasn’t sure what would happen to her after IK announced that the three had had a great time in the house prompting her to start smiling. However, the three were whisked back into the house and once she saw them settling back in the House, she was certain of her fate. Namibia’s Jossy was the first Housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Amplified. He was followed by Lotus this week, who was disqualified from the show after slapping Luclay.
Earlier in the evening, Karen was pleasantly surprised to hear that Miss P had saved her and the look on her face was priceless. She stood up and gave Miss P a tight hug. Mumba on the other hand simply bounced on her seat when Miss P gave her the bad news that it was her head that she had replaced Karen’s with on the chopping board during the Eviction Show. Miss P breathed heavily before her announcement and told the ‘Tailsmates’ that she had saved Karen because she had the most exaggerated characteristics. “You saved me?” Karen beamed in disbelief. However, Mumba didn’t seem the least surprised as she told Biggie that she had already packed.
So how did Africa vote this week? Nkuli received none of the country votes, and was therefore evicted. The Mozambican vote was split between Kim and Mumba and so each Housemate received half a country vote from that country. Here is the breakdown:
Luclay: 8 country votes – Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and the Rest of Africa
Kim: 5.5 country votes – Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Mozambique (half).
Mumba: 1.5 country votes – Zimbabwe and Mozambique (half).
Nkuli: 0 country votes.
Once they were back from their near-Eviction, Luclay and Mumba were the most vocal in the House and they couldn’t stop telling everyone about their experience. Luclay had been overwhelmed with the love the girls had given him on stage. “You should have seen all the girls. They really love Denzel (meaning Luclay)”, Mumba told Danny. Meanwhile, Karen couldn’t help appreciating being saved by Miss P from possible Eviction. “I’m glad Miss P saw potential in me,” she told Bhoke while they were cooking dinner. Mumba also told everyone that perhaps Nkuli had gone to Heads but Karen just said she was sad to have lost her “teddy bear” referring to Nkuli. “Who’ll be my teddy bear now? Nkuli was nice and small,” she added.
The Tailsmates then realized that with Nkuli’s Eviction, the playing field had been level as there were now five boys and five girls. Karen jokingly declared Luclay as her new husband.
