Afoley crowned 2018 Miss Teshie Homowo

The annual 2018 edition of the Miss Teshie Homowo beauty pageant ended successfully with contestant #4 Afoley emerging as the winner for the night.

The annual event saw six queens competing for the crown, displaying series of performance with the aim of educating the patrons and society through the exhibition of rich Ghanaian Ga-Dangme culture.

Highlight on the night was when Afoley who finally emerged as the winner for the night performed on stage with full exposure of her breast (nipples uncovered) to display the Otofo Ga-Dangme culture.

Monitored by Sammykaymedia.com, Afoley told UTV in an interview that, the full disclosure of her breast is to display the rich culture called Otofo rite, which initiates young Ga-Dangme ladies into womanhood, and also to attract and tell men that they are ripped for marriage.

The night saw performances from Legendary Highlife musician Adane Best, Teshie Boy and many more.

Paramount chief of Teshie, Nii Ashitey Akomfra also called on the youth to discard negative western cultures and fully embrace Ghanaian culture to liberate themselves totally from slavery.

The Miss Teshie Homowo beauty pageant is held as part of the activities to mark their annual Homowo celebrations. The theme for the pageant was “Our Culture, Our Heritage.”
