Afia Schwarzenegger wins Female Entertainment Show Host of the Year at 2017 RTP Awards

Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, took home the ‘Female Host of the year’ award at the just ended RTPs Awards.

Afia Schwarzenegger’s win was not surprising to many as the cheer that followed the pronouncement was one of approval.

Afia Shwarzenegger received the award flanked by her two lovely sons, friends and well-wishers.

The show was hosted by Ato Abassah and saw performances from Patience Nyarko, Eboo, Kurl Song and Ebony.

The comedienne in recent times was hit with a heavy sex scandal that had the whole nation talking.

Even in the midst of all that adversity, Afia says her motivation, what keeps her going, is the Holy Spirit.

In an interview with Ghanaweb, Afia said, “The Holy Spirit motivates me. The Bible says who the son sets free is free indeed and so I mean what else do I need to be confident. I am well endowed, educated to know that Jesus died for my sins and I think it should be enough to run all your confidence level and then keep it running.”

“I am yet to come face to face with negativity. Negativity is there but it takes a strong person to take a brick that is thrown at you to build mansions so. The Bible says when you walk through fire I am with you, so that means He is with me. So I don’t see anything as negativity. I see everything as a stepping stone to my greatness, she added.

RTPs awards is a platform created to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of excellent media personalities who have contributed extensively to developing the Ghanaian media terrain. Kurlsongs, Ebony, DJ Switch and Patience Nyarko thrilled the audience with outstanding performances.

Saturday’s RTPs was the seventh by Big Events Ghana.
