Adebayor storms "Funny Face" fun festival

Renowned Ghanaian comedian, Benson Ohene Boateng also known as Funny Face has treated children to a funfair at the Efua Sutherland park in Accra.

The fun festival, the second in the series, with support from Togolese footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor was aimed at raising funds for orphans and under privileged children in society.

Known for his hilarious nature, Funny Face thrilled the children with his animal themed songs and comic dance.

The children, who appeared to be enjoying every moment of the festival jumped in excitement when Togolese football star, Emmanuel Adebayor got on stage to display his Azonto skills, whilst Manifest was performing.

The Togolese superstar, Emmanuel Adebayor tells Joy News that organising such a program is their way of giving back to society.

He further states that they know it is not going to be easy for them but with the support of colleague footballers like Michael Essien, Didier Drogba, J.J. Okocha, Michael Obi, the Toure brothers and other soccer superstars, they will be able to achieve their dreams.

He adds, “I know in Ghana, all the kids love Funny Face so we are finding ways to sit down and figure out how we can help the children…maybe build a school for them, pay for their school fees, build a basketball court…”

“we will sit down with Funny Face because he is an intelligent guy, don’t get me wrong…even if he is always playing the fool which is part of his life, sitting down with him, he’s an intelligent person…he’s a brother and a friend and I am very happy to know him” says Adebayor.

The third edition of the FUNNY FACE FUN FESTIVAL is scheduled for July next year and he promises a bigger package for the vulnerable children.
