Actress warns colleagues to stop bleaching for movie roles

Bridget Serwaa Bridget Serwaa

Ghanaian actress, Bridget Serwaa, has advised her female colleagues in the movie industry, as well as the general public to desist from bleaching.

According to the KAFF Award winner, some of the ladies in the movie industry have decided to bleach, in a move to be "presentable" on camera, whereas others also do so to meet their partner's requirement.

In a close chat with seancitygh.com, Bridget said bleaching is very harmful to health as it exposes the skin to so many diseases.

"Some ladies in the industry bleach just to be presentable on cameras. Others too do it to please guys. But one thing is that bleaching is very harmful to the skin and our health. Those who bleach suffer when they have a serious cut. They may see it be good today but I think they should think of tomorrow's effect. My advice to them is that they appreciate their God-given complexions."

Bridget Serwaa is one of the finest movie stars in the industry especially the Twi-speaking movies.

She has since her coming to the limelight, been the favorite for most movie lovers.

She recently won an award in this year's Kumawood Akoben Film Festival Awards in Kumasi as the Best Actress Supporting Role (Twi) with the movie, Ensign Aga for the 2015 season.
