It was all joy and merry making when old and new students and staff of the Achimota School came together in worship to thank God at ‘Achimota Subjugates in Worship’.

Past students who hadn’t seen each other in years were excited to be meeting again and current students were happy to have the opportunity to mingle with the elders.

Music groups such as the Tema Youth Choir, Harmonious Chorale, Akora Choir (Past students) and the Aggrey Chapel Choir (School Choir) treated patrons to some good hymns, worship and danceable tunes.

VGMA artist of the year, Joe Mettle was also in attendance to thrill fans to some good music which got everyone on their feet.

According to Chairperson of the Achimota Subjugates in Worship Committee, Akora Yaa Gyamera the programme was in appreciation to God for seeing the school through both good and bad times in the past 90 years.

Chairperson of the 90th Anniversary Committee Joel Nettey added that “we’re coming to God in worship, in obeisance, giving him all the glory for everything he’s done for us over the period”.

Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee who is also an old student of the school shared how happy she was with the turnout of events.

Past students in attendance included those from as far back as the 1952-year group.
