Abeiku Santana Joins Okay FM?

Gabriel Abeiku Aggrey Santana, until now the image maker of the Tema based local radio station, Adom FM, and a member of the Multimedia Broadcasting Group (MBG), is all set to join the Abeka junction based new FM station currently undergoing test transmission, Okay FM, a member of Despite Media if current development is anything to go by.

It is now common knowledge that Abeiku Santana, has sent his letter of resignation to the Management of Adom FM. The Publisher inewspaper is reliably informed that his resignation takes effect from Monday, 25th of October. If he joins Okay FM which is of matter of time, he would become the first known and recognized staff of the MBG to have joined Despite Group of Companies.

MBG, meanwhile has not thrown in the towel yet, and have resolved to do whatever it takes to keep their ace presenter. The Publisher knows for a fact that a delegation is about to go after to try and persuade Abeiku Santana to rescind his decision. For no apparent reason, Despite has resisted the temptation to ‘sign’ any one from the MBG over the years, but MBG on the other hand, have not hesitated in poaching staff of Despite media group, whenever the need arises. Mention can be made of Nana Kwabena Bobbie Ansah from Hello Fm, Jerry Tsatro Mordy, Kojo Preko Dankwa all from Peace Fm and now with Asempa and Adom FM respectively. What The Publisher newspaper cannot say is whether Despite is now taking her pound of flesh.

Apart from other consideration which would attract Abeiku to OKAY FM, there is the issue of his cordial relationship with virtually the top brass of Peace FM. Of all the stations that are said to be interested in signing on Abeiku, Okay FM looks the most serious contender amongst the lot, and if Santana will do Radio again, then one can say without blinking an eye that he is bound for the Abeka Junction based radio station. The question is, will he get 5 hours of airtime that he used to have at Adom Fm? Only time will tell.

In another development, deep-throat sources have hinted The Publisher that, Ohenenana Kwame Amo of Hot FM, Oheneba Ntim Barima of Oman FM and Agyeman Prempeh (Agyingo) of Channel R, might be on their way to Okay FM barring any last minute hitches. Seasoned Akan News Caster and Journalist, Afia Pokua of Adom FM is also said to be on the radar of Okay FM.
