Abba Father reloaded concert to hit Accra

On the 21st of July, the whole of Accra will be singing one song; “Abba Father” as they celebrate their ‘sonships’ in the Lord at the Abba Father Reloaded concert.

The event being presented by Ike Ologo Ministries and the PL Crew is the alpha edition to be held at the Trinity Baptist Church - opposite University of Professional Studies(UPS); formerly Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) at Legon.

Ike Ologo is one of the new Afro-pop Gospel artiste’s in Ghana making waves around the country. The former 3rd runner-up of “Stars of the Future” – a music reality show organized by Charter house Ghana, has a hit song Abba Father which enjoys airplay on radio in Ghana and across the continent.

The event according to Ike is focused on evangelism to the lost through music especially his type which is groovy, with youthful swag and worship for all. “The first Abba Father Concert was held in December last year and the Reloaded is a build-up to my official Abba father World Album next year” he says.

He also considers the event a big brand strategy to push the Abba Father and the Ike Ologo brand, saying, “My management and I taught it best to get me up-close and personal with my fans and friends who love my music style with an annual live-concert too”.

“The whole idea was started with a song, then a video and now the concert to push it out there globally”, he added.

The event is being put together by Logs Multimedia, Ike Ologo Ministries, I.O Music Africa and Heaven Music.

According to Ike also, the Abba Father Reloaded concert is a free event which will be topped-up with a ticketed event in November

The event as well features some of the guru’s of contemporary gospel music in Ghana such as Joe Mettle, Emit Jim, Akesse Brempong, Kofi Karikari and Ps, Isaiah Jnr.

With his current rising status in the scene of contemporary gospel music in Ghana, it is very possible for one to spot the likes of other great ministers as Denzel Agyeman - Prempeh, Fifi Folson and Jeshurun Okyere at the event.

Asked his expectation for the event, Ike says “to meet an overflow congregation of a lot of youth, great ministrations with so much anointing and an open heaven atmosphere of worship, praise and miracles to produce a great event”. He assures the general public good African, urban and contemporary tunes to grove and move to at the event as well.

Ike Ologo is gradually carving a niche for himself in the contemporary African gospel industry and market. He debuted onto the gospel music scene after Stars of the Future in 2008 and the feedback from audience and music lovers has been good so far. He’s also noticed as the purple pink artiste as those from his brand colors.

He has ministered on the same stage with notable ministers and groups as Next Generation Gospel Ministers, Danny Nettey, Uche Agu, Cwesi Oteng, Pst. Helen Yawson and many more.

He currently has to his credit the official Abba Father Video and a music nomination for the ‘Contemporary Song of the Year 2013’ at the recent Christian Community Music Awards (CCMA).
