A Nite With The Stars

Accra, Oct 25, Heritage -- The National Theatre in Accra will be set agog today when Supper Hits Radio Joy 99.7 FM hosts the third in the series of its annual entertainment programme 'Nite with the Stars III'.

Tomorrow's show follows the success of two previous events started by Joy FM two years ago during which the station assembled most of the hit makers under one roof in a musical concert.

A much bigger assembly is expected tomorrow at exactly 8pm as all the heavyweights on the Ghanaian hiplife scene mount the stage in a show that is expected to shake the very foundations of the National Theatre.

This year, the show is not just ending at the National Theatre in Accra. For the first time ever, the show is coming off live outside the national capital when it moves to the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi on Saturday November 1.

Artistes billed for the dual show include Lord Kenya, Slim Buster, King David, Terry Bon-Chaka, Nana Quarme, K.K Fosu, Kokoveli, Batman, Obrafuor, Tinny and the newest sensation, 4 x 4. And guess who is also on the bill: the Tabita Kum man, Nichoals Omane Acheampong.

The night will be complemented by the presence of Joy FM presenters led by Komla Dumor, Bola Ray, Nii Armah Dagadu, DJ Black and other presenters from the Kokomlemle-based station.

Ghana's Big Brother Africa housemate, Sammy B, and KSM will also be on stage to do their thing and you can imagine what a night it will be.

According to the organizers of the show, which is being sponsored by Gordon's Spark drink, the Nite with the Stars is aimed at bringing all the hit makers together and presenting an opportunity for their listeners to have close interaction with the musicians whose songs they hear on Joy 99.7FM.
