The Chief Executive Officer of Café Chavela, Lala Akosua Pedre, has outlined the full range of services offered by the fast-growing food and beverage brand, positioning it as one of Accra’s most versatile all-day dining spots.
Located in Cantonments, Accra, directly opposite GIS Primary, Café Chavela has quickly become a favourite for residents, workers, and visitors seeking a modern, relaxed space for breakfast, lunch, brunch, or casual meetups.
The café held its grand opening on December 6, 2025, an event that attracted notable personalities including Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Abeiku Santana; media personality, Roselyn Felli; and the Senior Pastor of Power of Worship International (Testimony City), Daniel Amoateng, who offered prayers and blessings over the newly opened establishment.
Speaking at the event, CEO Lala Akosua Pedre, who is Ghanaian-Cuban and grew up in America, explained that the café’s concept was designed to meet the needs of customers looking for quality meals and specialty beverages throughout the day.
She noted that Café Chavela offers an extensive menu featuring all-day breakfast options, hearty lunch meals, pastries, and an expanding selection of beverages that includes specialty coffee drinks and Boba tea.
“Our concept is simple. We want people to have a space where they can walk in at any time and enjoy good food, comforting drinks, and excellent service,” she said.

To enhance convenience, the CEO highlighted that Café Chavela provides multiple service channels: walk-ins, delivery services, table reservations, and catering for both corporate and social events.
She added that demand for the café’s catering services continues to rise, with clients booking them for conferences, private parties, office functions, and small gatherings.
“We understand the changing dining habits of our customers, so we’ve created flexible options to suit busy lifestyles. Whether you need a quick coffee, brunch with friends, or catering for a large event, Café Chavela is ready to serve,” she said.

Lala Akosua Pedre also hinted at plans to expand the brand’s footprint, noting that customer feedback has shown strong interest in additional branches and more outdoor-friendly dining options in the near future.
Café Chavela continues to attract a diverse clientele, including young professionals, families, students, and remote workers, reinforcing its growing reputation as a vibrant, accessible dining destination in one of Accra’s most notable neighbourhoods.
