‘A Letter From Adam’ premiere sets Kumasi agog

Popular actress, Lydia Forson has premiered her newly produced movie, ‘A Letter From Adam’ in Kumasi on Saturday amidst a lot of excitement before and during the event.

The premiere took place at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST) CCB auditorium and attracted a number of patrons, though Saturday heavy downpour nearly disrupted the show.

There were two showings in all from 7pm to 9pm and 9: 30pm to 11:30pm. Each screening was applauded by audiences when credits started rolling to indicate they were content with the movie.

On the red carpet were Lydia Forson, Akorfa Ejeani Asiedu, Louie Lartey, Maxwell Beganim and Funny Face as special guest.

The bubbly actress and her crew arrived in Kumasi for the premiere on Saturday morning and visited some student hostels to announce their presence.

They received a rousing welcome from African Hall session of the hostels, where students took photos and even sung a happy birthday song for Lydia Forson on her belated birthday last Friday. The team was also on Yfm and Luv Fm to talk about the movie.

Saturday event was the second red carpet event for the movie after the first at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on September 19.

‘A Letter From Adam’ is a romantic drama directed by Atlanta-based Ghanaian director, Sam Kessie and produced and written by, Lydia Forson. Lydia is looking at further touring with it.

It is a contemporary story about love, loss and hope that will draw audiences into a realistic cycle of life seen through the pain of loss, the journey of self discovery and the courage and strength to find hope in the face of adversity.

Set in the busy yet simple city of Accra, ‘A Letter From Adam’ seeks to give the audience an often neglected truth about love - that love doesn’t always come in the form one expects it to.
