Ghanaian songstress, Adina Thembi Ndamse, was not expecting to win the ‘Best Female Act’ at the 2019 3Music Awards which was held over the weekend at the fantasy dome.
Speaking with DJ Advicer, host of the ‘Ayekoo After Drive’ show on Happy FM, she said though she was nominated in 5 categories, she had no expectations of winning any.
‘’ It feels good. I am honored that they have awarded me in such a way. To be honest with you, whenever I receive a nomination I don’t make it a target to win because that can cause broken heart if you don’t win. So if God permits me to win, I give him the praise. But if I don’t win, then cool. I just move on. I wasn’t expecting to win, I was just going there to have fun,” the ‘Too Late’ ‘hit maker disclosed.
She further stated that ‘‘I had five nominations but I won only one. I always say that all the other musicians that are nominated are potential winners and that means they all worked hard so I am not disappointed for not winning the rest,’’ she added.
