Known as Owusu Amponsah Bobby Manfred, MC Bobby has been into broadcasting for over a decade now, spending six of those years with Sky Broadcasting Limited, owners of Skyy FM 96.7 in Sunyani, Brong Ahafo Region as host of a number of programmes including Drive Time, mid-morning and lunch shows as well as a country show host.

MC Bobby is the current host of the late afternoon show Easy Stream on 3FM 92.7 from Monday to Thursday between the hours of 4pm and 8pm and on Fridays from 4pm to 6pm.

He also takes centre stage on Sundays from 9am to 12pm with The Corporate Playlist.

MC Bobby (MCB) gets up-close and personal with online journalist Nana Afrane Asante (NA) and this is what ensued between them:

NA: What is your definition about music?

MCB: Music is a composition of rhythm (Instrumentation) and words (lyric) meticulously arranged to soothe the human sense of hearing.

NA: Do you know any big gossips?

MCB: OBRAFOUR probably thinks OKYEAME KWAME has something to do with his ill-health. That’s a huge inside story. The very reason why the before is trying hard to smoke the peace pipe with the later. NA: What is your perfect pizza?

MCB: My perfect pizza is an all season but should exclude pork meat.

NA: What was your first thought when you woke up this morning?

MCB: My partner, I’m in a distance relationship so that explains it. I wonder if she had a sound sleep

NA: Would you be willing to lie to a court for a close friend if it meant saving your friend from going to jail for life?

MCB: Nope, I won’t lie if what he did deserves the punishment. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands????.

NA: If you were to wake up tomorrow in the body of someone, who would you pick?

MCB: Ermmm…..no one really, I’d better work on my body to be comfortable in it than wish to be in someone’s.

NA: How do you start a conversation?

MCB: Hi, how are ya? NA: What type of music do you listen to?

MCB: Every kind of music.. Afro, dancehall, Hip Hop, RnB, Blues, Country, Pop (Adult Contemporary)

NA: Have you ever taken dance lessons?

MCB: Nope but I’m a good dancer.

NA: What’s fashion to you?

MCB: For fashion, I love afrocentric, foreign tops, African prints or trousers because it does it for me any day.

NA: What should listeners expect from you on your show?

MCB: Music, fun and pure entertainment on their way home everyday.

NA: Tell me about ‘Corporate Playlist’?

MCB: It’s a Sunday country show. We visit institutions and corporations in the capital to pick their songs for a country Sunday morning. It’s strictly a country show but we give in room for any other relaxing genre of music. It’s relaxing and good for our Sunday morning relaxations. We are good for it. Blues, Country, Jazz, Soul, Vintage, definitive, Adult contemporary pops.
