2nd Annual Hiplife Festival in London, UK

LONDON, UK --Hiplife continues to live large and those in the industry are redefining it
by keeping it funky as well as real. Ghana's version of Hip-hop which
busted on the scene a decade ago thanks to a one time Hip-hop maestro and
now Hiplife Legend, Reggie Rockstone is an industry where the numbers of
talents are growing immensely.

With the emergence of Hiplife also comes a generation of gifted musicians
and sound engineers. Hiplife - Tic Tac, Batman, Castro, Buk Bak, Sydney,
Obour, Screw Face, Kwabena Kwabena, K K Fosu, Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Nti and
many more, are about to blow up and build a fan base. Sound Engineers -
Zapp Mallet, Hammer (The Last 2), JQ, Appietus, Sugar Tone and many more are
about to create their own signature tunes.

While Hiplife lives on, it would not have been successful without MUSIGA and
personalities in the media who have gone above and beyond to offer their
support to these artistes. There is the great Bola Ray of Joy FM (My main
man) who is well respected and loved by many artistes for making a great
contribution to promoting Hiplife. Abeku "Gilbert Aggrey" Santana who have
also created a platform for the music to be promoted and getting the
recognition it deserves. There have been countless of DJs who have also
helped - and the industry appreciates their contributions.

We also have people behind the scenes, the financiers, executive producers,
and distributors such as Goodies, Wayoosi, Big Ben, Agyecoat, Lisarf,
Owusek, Allordia e.t.c. who have done well in promoting the music.

It is befitting that a year ago, the first Hiplife Festival was organized in
the UK. Recently, the second annual Hiplife festival also took place in
London, UK and organized by Allordia Promotions, Emelio of
Westcoakuk.comand
Abrantee.com . They deserve commendations for
supporting the industry and realizing that they need to render the necessary
support to keep the industry alive.

The event kicked off with a "banging" fashion show and was very interesting
to see artistes such as Abrewa Nana, Castro, Boli, Screw Face, Kwabena
Kwabena, A-Plus, Tic Tac and new acts like FBS, Roman Phadaz
e.t.cperforming on stage.

The event happened at the Coronet, Elephant & Castle. Those who came really
got their money's worth. A big round of applause for the hosts who did a
great job; Bola Ray, Eddie (Africa's funny MC) and sexy Dentaa.

Bolli (You may kiss your bride) is indeed a great dancer who wowed the
fans. Abrewa Nana sung to her adorable fans and is indeed Ghana's version
of Jamaican artiste; Lady Saw except the former is not too explicit on stage
like the latter. Abrewa Nana has her own fans who were singing to her songs
as she performed.

It was a big night for the future of Hiplife - Castro, Kwabena Kwabena,
Screw Face and FBS. Castro once again proved that when it comes to music,
one must work hard to earn the respect and all accolades that come with
it. The down to earth with a great sense of humor with his popular
catchphrase; "Under fire" got everyone on their feet with non-stop
hits. His energy charged performance got many ladies pulling him and
grabbing his gold chain. Castro never disappointed his fans and showed his
collaborating skills when he performed with Kwabena Kwabena and Screw
Face. Kwabena Kwabena also got many ladies mesmerized with his incredible
voice. Kwabena Kwabena was always smiling and exhibited humility. He proved
that being a superstar is hardwork and was grateful to his fans for all
their support. Screw Face also got some ladies pulling his shirt as he got
closer. He left a great impression and his catchphrase; "And the Screw, and
the face, buei, bueiyaaee". Tic Tac also did great and he deserves a
commendation for being part of the movement which started and still doing
what he knows best - providing good music to his fans.

The organizers also showed some recognition where Bola Ray was presented
with a top honour award for promoting Hiplife like never before. He got
non-stop applauses from everyone in the auditorium as Ms. Confidence of
Afrodisiac Nite Club made the presentation. Bola as commented by many
artistes is a great role model and deserves such an accolade. Bola Ray,
more grease to your elbow. "Me brethren mi wan sey you dunno! big up uno
chest!, Nuff nuff respect and love from fans worldwide, ya ear me, booey,
booey"."

There were many give-aways as the occasion was also commemorating Ghana's
50th anniversary.

Big up to Allordia, Emelio of WestcoastUk.com and
Abrantee.comfor bringing many artistes closer to
their fans as a result of the
event. Also in attendance was New York's own Hashim Haruna ? aka Bigg Hash ?
CEO of Boogie Down Nima (BDN) Productions.

*The organizers strive to contribute in promoting hiplife to the rest of the
world. The journey never stops and Hiplife lives on forever. "yea yeaee "
