2013 VGMA to be launched under the theme: The Next Level

After several sittings to review the VGMA 2013 music entries over the last few weeks, the job of the VGMA Board is now done.

Though an arduous task, short listing, categorizing and verifying the various entries, they are, however, satisfied with the results and are ready to release the Nominees List for this year’s awards at another dazzling launch event slated for this Saturday February 23, in the gardens of the La Palm Beach Hotel.

Expected, as usual, at this glittering pre-festival event, as has characterized the recharged VGMA brand, will be a tall guest list of the “who is who” in the entertainment industry from producers, technicians to the artistes, managers and musicians.

The Grand launch event is as highly anticipated as the main awards night as it gets the ball rolling for the entire festival, climaxing with the official release of the much awaited nominations list.

In true VGMA style, it will be a Grand Reception, replete with a red carpet, lots of paparazzi, great socialisation and partying with the industry and specially invited fans.

The VGMA, as always, offers a platform to energize artistes, managers, producers, sound engineers and other industry players to step up the quality of what they churn out so they can earn a place on international platforms, hence the theme of this year’s event, “The Next Level”!

“In 2012, we gave the world ‘Azonto’, an excited Mrs. Theresa Ayoade, Executive Director of Charterhouse, Event Organisers and Producers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Festival proclaimed, stating also that 2013 “is all about shining the light on our music brand. It’s time to send our music into the “ears” of the world, our talents unto its biggest stages; time we built a bigger sustainable music business model.”

The excitement of the festivities and build up to the final event, whose date will be announced at the launch, has once again permeated across the country and the continent as people across board discuss and debate which artist will be Ghana’s best for the year under review.

The activities of the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Festival will climax in a glamorous night of suspense, high fashion, music and entertainment.

According to Afi Tabbicca, PR Executive for the festival’s organizing firm, Charterhouse, “The excitement leading to the grand finale of the festival is so infectious and utterly exhilarating, and this year’s will be no exception!”
