18-year-old Hanniel Jammin crowned Miss Universe 2013

It was a night of glitz and glamour, as the finale of this year’s Miss Universe Ghana pageant took centre stage inside the plush La Palm Royal beach hotel.

With TV Host Nathaniel Attoh and actress Ama K. Abebrese stirring affairs, the event was concise and entertaining with the girls wowing the audience in Aya Morrison’s swimsuit collection and some dazzling evening wear.

Fritz and Noella thrilled the crowd with soothing performances throughout the night. Beautiful brains were put to the test in the final lap by the judges and the girls excelled, as they answered questions on their various projects, issues facing the African woman and a myriad of other topics.

In the end, the high profile judging panel comprising; actress Yvonne Nelson; presenter Benny Blanco; Brian D. Hogan, founder of investment firm Paradigm Capital Group; and model Veronica Varekova – declared the graceful and elegant 18 year old, Hanniel Jammin as Miss Universe Ghana 2013 with Emerald Aba and Helen Dake coming in 1st and 2nd Runner- up respectively.

For her prizes she won a New York Film Academy Scholarship, Management and Public Relations team for the year, Ghc 5,000 worth of wardrobe for appearances and the international competition, a gym membership and several others.
