Some veteran actors worked tirelessly to see the success of the Nigeria Movie industry.

However, some could not live to see how Nollywood has gained international recognition as they were snatched by the ‘wickedness’ of death.

We miss seeing some of the departed actors from our scenes. Though they may be dead, their legacies still live on.

There are some great actors who have really entertained us through their movies who you might probably know or might not know are dead.

These Nollywood actors are still alive on several movies we watch daily that entertains us but in reality, they are dead.

Their death came as a blow to Africa’s movie industry as they were talented and experienced actors.

1. Dede one day



He died of high blood pressure while mastering a ceremony on December 14, 2016.

2. Sam Loco Efe



He died of asthma in a hotel while editing a movie on August 6, 2011.

3. Justus Esiri



He died in February 19, 2013.He died of diabetes at the age of 70 in Lagos Hospital.

4. Enebeli Elebuwa



He died from a major stroke at age 66 on December 4 2012 in an Indian hospital where he went for treatment.

5. Amaka Igwe



She is one of the few great female producers in Nollywood. She died at the age of 51 on April 28 2014 from asthma.

6. Tom west



He was one of the best actors Nigeria ever had between 2005/2006. He died in a fatal accident while returning from a location after a late night movie ‘shooting’ with two colleagues in September 2006.

7. Geraldine Ekeocha



She died of fibroid operation on September 5, 2011. She was 50 years old.

8. Pete Eneh



He died in November 2012 after one of his legs was amputated at age 68.

9. Francis Agu



He died on 20th March 2000 from protracted illness at age 41.

10. Ashley Nwoso



He died on 21st April 2011 from a brief illness.

11. Clem Onyeka



He was killed in a crossfire between the police and some armed robbers. His death came as a great shock as he was a great young actor.

12. Peter Bunor



He battled stroke for five years before dying in May 2015.

13. Muna Obiekwe



He was the finest and great young actor the Nigeria movie industry could boast off. I personally love all his movies.he died on January 18 2015 from kidney failure. He was only 36 years old.
