I would provide Tema West with dedicated and effective service – Ofosu Ampofo

Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development and National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Tema West has said when given the mandate he would bring accessible and effective leadership to the area.

He said Tema deserved effective leadership than it had at the moment saying with hard work and dedicated service in humility, he was prepared to take up the mantle of leadership come December 7.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo said this on Friday at the launch of his electioneering campaign at the Sakasaka Park in Community 2, Tema.

He said he would bring his rich political experience to serve the people of Tema by ensuring consistent and sustainable development.

He urged members and supporters to embark on house-to-house campaign in order to win more floating voters.

The parliamentary candidate advised his opponents to show political maturity in their campaigns by refraining from the use of foul language.

Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the NDC, who launched the campaign assured the people of Tema that if they renew the mandate of the NDC its government would accelerate the development and transformation of the metropolis.

Some leading members of the party who also addressed the gathering included Mr Paul Victor Obeng, Professor Kwamena Ahwoi, Alhaji Huudu Yahya, Mr Dan Abodakpi, Mr Ebenezer Kobina Fosu and Madam Betty Moud-Idrisu.

The rest were Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Madam Faustina Nelson, Mr Harry Zakour, Mr Kempes Papa Nii Ofosuware and Ms Anita de-Zouza.

They urged Ghanaians to give the NDC another four-year term to enable the party to continue with the Better Ghana Agenda.
