NDC Parliamentary Candidate against destruction of party posters

Nii Okai Laryea, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Amasaman on Thursday appealed to the public to put an end to the defacing of posters of the political parties in the Amasaman Municipality.

He said the destruction of party paraphernalia does not serve anybody’s interest.

Nii Laryea made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Amasaman after a door- to- door campaign tour to formally introduce himself to the electorate at Amasaman Zongo.

The parliamentary candidate who has so far toured 10 communities in the area including Nsakina, Oduman, Kotoku and Jomah, urged the people to vote massively for him and President John Dramani Mahama in the forth coming December 7 general election.

Nii Laryea said this would enable the NDC to continue with the better Ghana agenda.

He said his major aim of contesting to become a Member of Parliament is to better the lives of the people through the provision of school infrastructure, potable water among other interventions.

Mr. Umar Maiduha, Vice-Imam of Amasaman Zongo called for peace and tranquility among Ghanaians during the presidential and parliamentary elections.

He admonished the youth not to allow themselves to be lured into violence by money conscious politicians.
