Agona West NDC marks 20th anniversary with clean-up

Members of the Agona West Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Saturday undertook a-four hour clean-up exercises at Agona Swedru, as part of activities making the 20th Anniversary celebration of the party.

They cleared weeds at the Municipal Assembly compound and the Agona Swedru Government Hospital and distilled chocked gutters.

The exercise was led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Samuel Oppong, Agona West NDC parliamentary aspirant, lawyer Obeng Inkoom and Mr. Emmanuel Kwesi Lincoln, NDC Agona West Constituency Chairman.

They thanked the members for their communal spirit, and asked them to propagate the good work of the Government of President John Evans Atta Mills to win more support for the party.

They also advised them not to indulge in negative tendencies that could drag the name of the party into the mud.

The party officials presented bread and toilet rolls valued 1,000.00 Ghana Cedis to patients at the hospital.

Dr. Apetorgbor Dzodzegbe, Medical Superintendent in-charge of the hospital, who received the items thanked the party for the gesture.

He appealed to Government to provide the hospital with a bigger power generator, to augment power supply from the national grid.**
