CPP members urged to remain unwavering and loyal

Former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP), Mr Osei Tutu Bonsu, has appealed to members and supporters of the party to remain unwavering, steadfast and loyal.

He said they need to stand together, work hard and accept to make the necessary sacrifices to make the CPP more vibrant and become well-positioned to win the December general polls.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Kumasi, he said they should not be distracted by gossips and lies about defections from the party.

Mr. Osei Tutu said it was time “every genuine member of the CPP stood up to be counted.”

The party is the only one that could give hope to Ghanaians and put the economy on a real path of growth.

He said the monumental achievements made under Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, he said, should convince everyone about what the CPP was capable of doing.

Mr. Osei Tutu called for intensification of the party’s membership drive alongside individual financial contributions to build and energize its structures.

He called on the people to put the nation’s peace ahead of parochial and self-serving agenda.

They should all do everything to protect the peace since “Ghana is the only place we could call our country.”

He asked the political parties and their supporters to act more responsibly ahead of the upcoming elections to spare the nation confusion and anarchy.**
