CPP launches manifesto Today

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) moved its Campaign 2012 to the next phase with a national campaign workshop held in Accra for regional leaders and campaign teams at the KAMA Centre.

The workshop discussed the party’s strategy, messages and campaign songs with regional chairmen and their teams as well as parliamentary candidates, a statement issued in Accra on Monday by Nii Armah Akomfrah, Director of Communication, said.

In attendance were the Party’s presidential candidate Dr. Abu Sakara Foster, National Chairman and Leader Ms Samia Yaba Nkrumah and other leading members of the party.

The statement said, “The CPP maintains the momentum generated with the launch of its 2012 Manifesto, the first party to do so. The launch coincidentally is on the 63rd birthday anniversary of the party which was formed on June 12, 1949, by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah".

The venue for the launch is Agblogboshie, Sikkens; a decision that the party says signals to Ghanaians that its overriding objective as a party is to serve the community.

CPP doctors will treat 500 patients free of charge at Agbogbloshie to launch a community health treatment programme as part of its Campaign 2012.**
