The National Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Julius Kwame Anthony, has publicly declared his support for Dr Samuel Ayeh, who is seeking to become one of the party’s Deputy National Communications Officers.

In a post on Facebook, Anthony described his backing for Dr Ayeh as “full unalloyed support” and urged his associates and supporters to throw their weight behind the medical doctor’s ambition.

Dr Ayeh, a medical doctor and politician who serves as Governance Spokesperson at the Presidency, is seeking a position in the NDC’s national communications leadership.

Explaining his decision to support the aspirant, Anthony highlighted Dr Ayeh’s political involvement and commitment to the party, particularly his efforts to defend its interests and maintain unity among its members.

According to Anthony, Dr Ayeh has taken risks to stand up for the party and protect its collective interests.

He also praised the aspirant for his engagement with the party’s youth base, noting that he consistently makes himself available to address their concerns and promote unity within the party.

“Dr Ayeh has dedicated himself to responding to issues regarding the youth base of the party. He avails himself to these young people with the hope that we can hold the party together and preserve the mandate given to President John Mahama,” Anthony stated.

Anthony also highlighted Dr Ayeh’s political and leadership experience, particularly his involvement in student politics at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

Dr Ayeh served as Communications Officer of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at UCC before succeeding Dr Crispin Wienaa as the group's president.

He subsequently contested the university’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC) presidency, becoming the first medical student to contest the position.

Anthony further praised Dr Ayeh’s communication skills, intellect and dedication to political activism, describing him as a committed member of the NDC.

He urged his associates and supporters to extend the same level of loyalty and commitment to Dr Ayeh that they would offer him.

“Dear comrades, Dr Samuel Ayeh has my full unalloyed support. If you’d go all out for me, go all out for him. Goodnight,” he wrote via Facebook on November 1, 2026 post.
