Former NDC Deputy General Secretary, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has wished his former boss, Johnson Kwadwo Asiedu-Nketiah, the best of luck and “Ayekoo” as he exits the NDC Headquarters after 21 years of service.

In a tweet on his X page, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, Koku Anyidoho, in a very forgiving, Christlike manner, said: “Ayekoo… I forgive you for how you deliberately sought to destroy my political career … I have moved on and wish you well too as you move on in life”. Koku Anyidoho posted.

Koku stated that, in all honesty, he had no problems with his former boss when they worked together, and his decision to contest his boss for the position of General Secretary in 2018 was because “Asiedu-Nketiah knows, and most people know that I contested because he assured me that he would not contest again. As it is, the rest is history.”

Koku recounted the 21 years of service of General Mosquito and how there was a very strong rally of party support for him at the 2005 Congress in Koforidua to take over from the then embattled General Secretary, Dr. Nii Armah Josiah Aryeh.

Koku also recounted how he and his former boss met about 2 months ago at the Prempeh II International Airport in Kumasi and how both of them warmed up to each other.

“We met recently by chance at the Kumasi airport …we shook hands and cracked a few jokes. I believe that there is more that unites us than divides us. I have chosen to focus on the positive sides of life rather than dwell on the negatives …”.

Ending prayerfully, Koku said, “We live by God’s grace to see the future unfold.”

As things stand now, it is looking obvious that Asiedu-Nketiah is eyeing the Flagbearer position of the NDC going into the 2028 General Election.
