Ali Suraj, a National Nasara Organiser hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged to do everything within his power to ensure that the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, wins the 2028 general elections.
Speaking to the media after filing his nomination to contest the position of National Nasara Organiser on August 27, 2026, Suraj said his primary objective was to help Dr Bawumia secure victory in the next presidential election.
He said, if elected, he would work closely with Zongo communities across the country to strengthen the NPP’s presence and support for the party ahead of the 2028 elections.
Suraj also expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah and the 14 regional Nasara organisers for endorsing his candidature and pledging their support for his campaign.
“I want to thank the Almighty Allah and also the 14 regional Nasara organisers for endorsing me and promising to see me through the election,” he said.
Outlining his priorities, Suraj said his main focus would be to mobilise support for Dr Bawumia and ensure that the NPP makes significant gains in Zongo communities.

“I will bring so many things on board. My main priority is to see Bawumia as the next President of Ghana in 2028, for which I am going to pledge to all Ghanaians that, by the special grace of God, if I get elected as the National Nasara Organiser, in the Zongo communities, the NDC is dead,” he said.
