Newly elected Constituency Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Tema East, Elliot Kabutey Tei, has pledged to build an accountable, well-resourced and election-ready constituency structure to secure victory for the party in future elections.
In an official statement released following his electoral victory, the businessman expressed gratitude to delegates, party elders, polling station executives and grassroots members across Tema East for placing their confidence in his leadership.
Describing the internal party election as a demonstration of democracy within the party, Tei emphasised that the contest produced no losers, declaring that “the New Patriotic Party in Tema East is the sole winner.”
Outlining his vision for the office, the newly elected Treasurer described his role as the financial heartbeat and operational engine of the party’s campaign machinery in Tema East. He said his tenure would be guided by three core operational pillars:
Transparency and Financial Integrity: Implementing strict financial controls and transparent reporting systems to ensure that all funds raised are properly accounted for and directed towards party growth and election preparedness.
Grassroots Support: Streamlining the distribution of resources to ensure that operational funds reach electoral area coordinators and polling station executives promptly and efficiently.
Sustainable Fundraising: Developing local fundraising initiatives and engaging business stakeholders, party patrons and supporters to maintain a reliable and sustainable source of funding for party activities.
Highlighting Tema East’s strategic importance as a key constituency in national elections, Mr. Tei called for unity across all electoral areas, from Tema Newtown to the Harbour enclave.
“Internal contests are behind us. Our shared focus now turns entirely towards victory for the Elephant,” Tei stated.
“Reclaiming and consolidating our dominance in Tema East demands total unity, strategic discipline and relentless work across every electoral area,” he added.
He urged all party faithful to put aside campaign differences and work together to secure a decisive mandate for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party.
